ARMORED
Andy, a 13 year old boy whose parents disappeared under mysterious circumstances, is adopted by a peculiar couple whose son, Myles, also died under mysterious circumstances a year prior. Andy, obsessed with strange mysteries, takes it upon himself to investigate the death of Myles. In doing so, Andy comes across a magical 13th century suit of armor that grants him great powers.
Unfortunately, the armor is haunted by the original knight, Sir William, and the two must work together to stop terrifying creatures that are after the power of the suit. Sir William must train Andy to use the armor properly — not just to defeat the other creatures being summoned by the mysterious antagonist, but also to defeat an even more dangerous other-worldly being prophesied to return to Earth and take the suit of armor for its own kind. While doing so, they must also uncover the mystery of Myles's death and what the connection is to the armor he now possesses.
Created and written by Schwartz, ARMORED is illustrated by Ismael Hernández, lettered by Ferran Delgado, and edited by Eisner-winner Chris Stevens. The five-issue series features covers by artists Jae Lee, David Mack, Becky Cloonan, Trevor Henderson, Nick Pitarra, Chrissie Zullo, Scott Kolins, Matthew Therrien, and Jeff Dickson.
